What a lovely sentiment...brought back memories of Christmas past! Absolutely brilliant lyrics with great traditional instrumentation played well! Ya gotta love a great Christmas tune.

Joe´s the true story-teller here, wouldn´t Y´all agree?
I mean a parrot who comes to the conclusion “Screw them all.” Do we need more than that?
I´d like to say no.
Bottom line´stuff here, real tale, something you would not find too often in America these days I´d say.
And that with your unique voice, Joe.
Sometimes I imagine putting your vocals into a drastically different musical environment, like a solo cello, or a jazz band. Don´t know if your great music would be harmed by that or if it would benefit.
Great songs, thanks for sharing, Joe, loved every second and every line of it!

As an old school troubadour at SC, yopu rank right up there with the best of ‘em Joe. And your humorous lyrical style is always sure to twist a smile out of the most tight fisted grimace. With cheeky lyrical wordsmith(ing) prowess like:
“My machete by my side,
Diesel mower, pesticide,
The dog chewed my gauntlets but I still can get ‘em on
With my trusty mower deck
I will fearlessly attack
Remember me if I don’t come back from doing battle with the lawn.”
I’m put in mind of a weed-warrior version juxtaposed with “Big Rock Candy Mountain” and your dreamy search for rest as Jr. takes over the battle in the end, and you gets your reward on the sidelines.
God Bless
Ron
