Hi mate long time no speak. Just started making tunes again after about an 18 month break due to various problems ie splitting up with my wife. Listening to sign Z and its good to hear the old Xtatica once again. I have uploaded a couple of new tracks one a remix of TGLs Athena. I will try and get a little more involved again in the coming months like I was a couple of years ago. speak soon and take care mate.
Great work , I really enjoyed sign-Z; very well done trance and the sounds & synths you have going on are just perfect for the genre. Hit's on a perfect 10/10 for me because although the music is dance/trance in nature, I still really dig that genre and it's executed perfectly really. Something to be proud of, i'll be back to check the rest later. Cheers!
thanks a lot man... i haven't been around for awhile, but i'm planning to pick it back up real soon. i just need to get that spark back... u know what i mean? anyways i'll be talking to u. take care

Thanks for your comments mate. No problem about the review, I'm glad to help.

Listening to the updated version now. Its deffinitly a lot better. I especially like the extra percussion you've used.

Yup, deffinitly looking forward to competeing. big grin :D
I'll enter Charge, or maybe even my latest tune if I get another one finished, in the next compo. This last Thanksgiving one I only entered To Earth And Back as a bit of a laugh I guess.

Cya around mate,
-Chris
Yo Xtatica,
not sure I've ever been to your Soundclick page before, though I may be wrong.

Just stopping by, and thought I'd let you know my thoughts on 'Alpha Waves'.

First thing I noticed is that its overall very quiet compaired to other tracks. Thats a mastering issue thats quite tricky to deal with without damaging the harmonics of the track, but I'd advise you to read up on mastering compression and limiting if you havent done so already.

The intro is good for a progressive track, though I feel you could have filtered the bass in somehow with some extra effects for a better effect. I really like the synth melody that comes in about half way through the track, and also the more rythmic synth used... the sine one, which sounds slightly house-y.

Yeah, melody wise, this track is great. You also have many of the essential progressive elements included aswell. However, in my opinion, progressive tracks work better when longer, and 4:20 is rather short. Also it would have been nice to hear some more percussion and hats, to add yet more rythm to the track.

If I had to rate this, I'd give it an 8/10. Good work though mate, proggy trance is hard to get used to.

Cya,
-Chris
