Biography of Tom Gaston
Born in Wilmington NC. and moved to Georgia at the age of 4. Tom was raised in a musical family. His sisters sang for 8 years on WGGA radio station Saturday mornings. At the age of 8, Tom was allowed to sing with my sisters. Tom grew up in Norcross, Georgia and started playing and writing music at the age of 15. Tom has been a top 10 winner in the Billboard Songwriting Contest 4 times
Tom has had seven publishing contracts but no hits yet! Tom has performed at the Georgia Country Music Association Awards Ceremony. For the past 20 years he has been jamming at the Skillet Lickers Music Barn in Dacula GA. on Friday nights, where he had the honor of playing music with Gordon Tanner, his son Phil and all their friends.
Music has always been a large part of Tom's life and his songs reflect all phases that we must go through, both good and bad. The more than 100 songs Tom has written are about everyday life and the events that happen along the way. There are songs about Love, Lost Love and everything in between. The selections range in style From Kicking Country, Ballads, Progressive Country, Blues, Humor, all the way through Southern Gospel. All the songs Tom considers gifts that helped him make it through good and bad times.
