Love this composition. Lyrics are honest and sweet. Your harmonies are very imaginative. I read in your post on Jolee's page that you are a huge Lacy J. Dalton fan. I tend to appreciate the "B side" artists as well, especially Lacy. You are a great supporter of all music here on SC. Thank you. danna

First class emotional song writing. Great lyrics and vocals with a flowing melody.
Great job! I would love hear this song polished into a fully instrumented production!

Hey Strummergurl,
I finally got over here to comment. I'd come over here to listen often, but couldn't figure out how to comment. I'm sort of new to Soundclick. Just wanted to say I enjoyed listening to your stuff and enjoyed Rocky Road. Good lyrics and I loved the harmonies and your playing on this. Wish I could play guitar like you.

I can remember when I would have given anything for a 4track - it all takes me back to strumming in the bedroom when I was about 17. But it was single track for me.
Now I'll only do wall of sound stuff, ha, ha!!
This was interesting despite your own put downs. Here's a suggestion for you: use this but with lowered guitar and add another vocal, you can harmonise, an octave either side, whatever, but try a BREATHY vocal. So maybe lower would be best. Listen to Neil's I am a child if you're not sure. You don't always have to go flat out.

Had to home in on this one as a fellow Youngy fan!
It's not one I've tried but I imagine it's more difficult than some. So you should be pretty pleased with this job. I enjoyed listening to it. Well done.
