Hey brother it's me again, I just counted and I've got you on 21 stations... Check your "stations playing" so you can see which ones and go to them if you would like.
I've been playing you on several of my soundclick stations like for at least two months, and I just went to your message and noticed that I never posted on her to let you know. Well, better late than never I guess, lol
"Take My Life" is the one that I've used the most. I have included your stuff on my Eclectic Christian station and on several of my Christian Goth oriented stations. I really like your lyrics and vocals, and your music is soo real. Due to the fact that you've been through a lot, your music really ministers healing to people. It's not enough to just to talk the talk, but when you've been there, people know it and they can relate to it.
I went through a time of deep depression a few months back. Still dealing with it, but I wrote a song called: "Save Me! (from myself) during that time period. It's a desperate cry out to God during a time of deep despair and desperation. It's a hard metal song , Check it out when you get a chance, and let me know what you think. I usually put that song, Mic Rowe's song :Save Me! and your song Take my Life" together(plus another similar thematically) on several of my stations which have a hope in the time of desperation type theme.
It's kind of funny, but I've been a christian all my life. I'm 43 now, and when I begin to go through this time of depression a few monthsthat's when I found ChristianGoth.com, and other Gothic-oriented sites.
Any way, another song you might want to check out is : "Keepin' Hope Alive" (Prayer from St. Joseph's Hospital room 212). I wrote it as a prayer from my eleven year old son's hospital bed as he lie in a coma after being hit by a car 3 years ago. Our hope is that it will minister to people going through difficult circumstances in their life, to hold on to hope and Faith in God through it all.
By the way, my son came out the coma, relearned how to walk, talk, eat, etc.. and it's been three years and he's even playing the drum set, and very well I might add... God is real good. After he came out of the coma , he told us how Jesus took him in his arms when the car hit him and took him to heaven where he saw his grandpa, and he was told to come back to his family. (He was very near death as he hardly had any pulse and was not breathing on his own)
Well, excuse me for running on and on, but check it out; and let me say that you sharing your own battle with schizophrenia really ministered to me and was and is a great encouragement to me; sometimes people in the church treat you like your demon posessed or something when you have depression or schizoprhrenia ( I hope I spelled that right, lol); your music was a great encouragement for me, it shows your struggle and the hand of God in your life; very inspiring.... thanks for letting me share some of my story with you as well.... sorry it took me so long, for some reason I thought I had already posted on your board, lol...
Well, God bless, much love to you,
David
Room 212
(Room 212 is a place of doubt, fear, and pain but it's also the place of hope, grace mercy and the place where we see the hand of God in our lives. Room 212- my son's hospital room where he lie in a coma, when things go wrong in my life I just remember Room 212 and how the hand of God came down when we thought we couldn't take anymore)
Nice Tracks, I checked a few Keep it bangin'. Keep Elevating your skills and remember the sky is the limit. Check out my music if you get a chance and hit me back. PeAcE
This is some pretty Cool stuff. I agree that it is quite interesting that you can appeal to two totally antithetical audiences. But Overall This Stuff is pretty Good. Would Sound Cool with a backing Band
