I had my first 4 track cassette recorder when I was 16 and I've still got most of the recordings, but you won't find those here! Some funny, some stupid, some ok bits, lots of rubbish! 30 years later I'm still writing and recording my own stuff - drum machine, bass, guitars and keyboards - (which I'm learning). Soundclick is breathing a bit of new life into my music - it's giving me an outlet, a meeting space, a place of inspiration. I hope that in the coming year, there will be some collaborations and swapping of music, thoughts and ideas. I do seem, however, to be spending an awful lot of time at this computer.........
Que Decree. Reaction. Opus One. Future Legend. Sneakers. Thick as Thieves. and a bit of solo stuff. Never heard of 'em?? Probably not....
Don't do much live gigging anymore. Used to be an extrovert but somewhere along the way the opposite happened....
Thin Lizzy meets James Taylor!! Thanks to Alanis for some eastern influences. David Gilmour. Neil Finn.
Acoustic round body, electric, bass, Dr5, Yamaha keyboards, Sonar, Edirol UA 25 plus the usual compressors, mixers, reverbs (lots of Behringer stuff) Oooh, and a new Roland Juno D (check out 'Symbology')
Riff Driven is my latest - a bit rock, a bit pop - not sure how I'd classify it!
Different Winds was written mid '80's - more acoustic - some blues.
Reckless is a bit more acoustic - modern blues. My current project is 'Bob is NOT my uncle' I have no idea where it is going, I'm just hanging on for the ride! I am also in the process of uploading some of my ambient recordings - frogs, thunder, dawn choruses etc. Someone suggested that I record some crocodiles - er, no thanks, they're a bit faster than I am!!
