Hey there all,
Wishing you all a loving and enjoyable festive season holidays & celebrations. For the occassion I have uploaded a new track called "Married You On Christmas Day". A beautifully written and constructed song. Take a listen to it. It's also availabe for limited download from my music store, so get yourself a copy to play over the holidays and through the new year.

L.K, I'm a solo unsigned artist just getting it together, so in the early stages and still putting material together. My debut album "Restraint", will be available online in the early parts of 2010. It will be a total mixture of Soul, R&B and Light Hip Hop themed musical styles, so you will find a general mix of all styles.

Why this name?
Voice of the Unseen was my original early choice of name, although this will now be L.K in the future. I believe we don't all have to be seen to be heard, we all have a voice and should air this without predjudice. I have come across many people that have been judged by the way they look, how they dress or even colour of their skin or individual lifestyles that they lead. Yet these same very people have voices that can air valuable insights into life as well as contribute positively to others - Hence, Voice of the Unseen. My aka will be L.K, which is basically my middle name, Lincoln & my Mothers maiden name, which is Kennedy.
Do you play live?
This is not something I'm planning on doing at this point in time, as I continue to concentrate on completing my first album for online distribution. Then I'll be concentrating on promoting both the album and myself, unless I'm lucky enough for someone in the industry to come along and give me a hand and some honest/loyal guidance. In the future (2010) I aim to perform in small establishments to begin with, then more places as my audience grows, well hopefully, that is the plan.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
All I can say is, it changes it in a good and unique way, it sets music free. Although that said, you are leaving yourself more open to more pitfalls (as there are plenty sharks in these waters), so I guess there are pro's and cons that go with it. At the end of the day, you can reach more people than the usual conventional methods.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
After thinking this over for some time, then yes, I believe I would. As it would greatly help in promoting, establishing and spreading your songs on a larger scale, than if you remained independant. With that said, it is not something I am chasing at present, but if the opportunity was to arise, then yes, I would seriously consider it.
Band History:
2009 is my debut year of putting my material together. Although I have been writing for some years now, this is the first year I've decided to take things to the next phase/level. My aim is to write and offer material that is mixed with Soul/RnB/Hip Hop themes, then as I grow I hope the fan base will start to grow, enabling me to take it to yet another level. You can catch more of my songs that are not being streamed on here, on my Myspace page.

Your influences?
Song stories with meaning. Easy yet powerful listening tunes. Something that brings about positive memories and feelings I guess but also tackles sensitive issues. I do not have a musical preference in Genre but what the song is about. To name just a few artist off the top of my head I would name, Lighthouse Family, David Grey, Gregory Issacs, Bob Marley, Cold Play, Linkin Park, Kings Of Leon, Marvin Gaye, Pink, Ne-Yo, Maxwell, Abba, Morgan Heritage, The Carpenters. There are many artist both Male & Female from the motown, R&B even Country music that I do admire, not to mention some Rock artist, who's material & songs I like, so you see I could not begin to name them all & by naming just a few I feel it leaves sooooo many out etc. My spectre is truly wide.
Favorite spot?
My Home, or out in the country or the depths of one's mind.
