Icebird is one of the leading dance/trance producers of Norway.
He started in the late eighties with making music on the Amiga. In the nineties he decided to put he's track up at mp3.com and that became a big success. After receiving a half million downloads and topping the trance-charts he signed with Frogfish Records and released the album Arctic Trance in 2003. He also released the track "Winter" in Canada.
In 2003 Icebird started working together with Eskimo and that became the most popular dance act in Norway. They received massive airplay in Scandinavia and other European countries. In 2006 the trance summer hit in Norway "Love is an Ocean" was released on Infravibe Recordings. They also remixed a lot of tracks for other artists. Helene Rask's album "Colours" included a 17 minute long megamix of Eskimo & Icebird's remixes.
Eskimo & Icebird have also produced the album "Be Proud" for Jamita.
The latest Eskimo & Icebird release "That Night" is available at juno/napster/itunes.

Brilliant track, had the feeling of being composed for a film? Enjoyed it so much I have downloaded it to my daily music memory stick that goes in my car. Hilsen, Peter.

99% of the time I do not rate Trance as being progressive because there are so many following the same rhythm process, heavy beat and no progression. In your composition the beat is there but it is not overpowering. There is a good progression of sounds. Hilsen, Peter.

hey
great stuff, DJ Icebird! i simply love your style. it's exactly the way i like trance to sound. although i've been playing around with trackers, sequencers and other cool "thingies" for about 10 years, my productions never got enough "pro" flavour to go "on air".. now, i might have asked you this one before, but do you happen to have a long/extended version of "Reach the Star"? i don't know if it's only me, but it sure seems too short for such a great track. i tried to remake it and extend it, but it's just not the same thing..
thanks and keep that sound alive!
