Mark Madison is a Acoustic Guitarist/Singer, Songwriter based in Orange County, California. Mark's music is mainly influenced by Acoustic Rock, but it also has elements of Blues, Folk and Pop.
I've been playing for years and the artists in my band have all had some form of success on their own as well. Roek Williams, my accordion player, had many hits in Europe with his band Roek Williams and The Fighting Cats. Greg Vail is a well known sax player with many albums to his credit. Gordon Rostvolo has done many albums as a session bass player. John Wilson, my drummer, plays with the OC Supertones as well as in my group. Ron Breuklander has a long history of playing guitar in praise and worship groups.
Yes, I mostly perform in the Western USA but, I'm also planning on doing some touring worldwide soon. I love touring and I have had a few funny experiences. I remember playing with my band and I was goofing off. I picked up the drummers ride cymbal and stand and I was shaking it over the audience. Well, the cymbal flew off and came crashing down onto the dance floor right on beat and scared a few of the dancers. Also there was a nude dancer with a marionette but we won't get into that.
My influences range across the whole spectrum, I love all kinds of music styles. If I think that I can incorporate a style of music into what I play, I'm always willing to try it. Take "Skinny Marie" for example. The song incorporates elements of Folk, Acoustic Pop, and R&B. So I'm really willing to try anything as long as it helps the song.
I use Carvin Cobalt acoustic guitars.
Just want to say, "Hope you like my music and feel free to come up and say "hi" at one of my shows".
