Why this name?
The Starfires were the number one Dance Band in 64 and 65 in places like Memphis, Wellington, Clarendon, Lakeview, Childress, Hedley and Turkey; all in Texas ... of course!!!

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I like the independent avenue to producing music the internet provides.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I write songs ... there are a lot of better singers than me ... I'll look forward to hearing them sing my songs ... probably make them better!
Band History:
Played with two bands back in the sixties ... "The Telstars" and "The Starfires" ... Started writing Songs then and continue to do so today!!!
Your influences?
Elvis (I was 12 in 1956) Rick Nelson, Buddy Holly, The Fireballs, Neil Diamond, John Fogerty, The Eagles, Linda Rondstat, and John David Souther, the best songwriter in the world!!!
Favorite spot?
Amarillo (Texas) by Morning!!!
Equipment used:
Acoustic and Electric Guitar, Bass, Keyboards,Trumpet, music software and hopefully interesting words and tunes.
