Welcome to my "Band" Page.
My name is Angel Melendez and all I can say is
that I love music. I play the guitars and piano and do the voices on these songs posted here.
Although I would love to be a better musician, hopefully it will come with time ... maybe when I'm 50 I'll be proud of my creations. ;-)

Why this name?
Gelocks was a nickname given to me by one on my friends at the University... it doesn't mean anything. It just rhymes with Kellogs!
Do you play live?
Nope.
Don't have the "ballz" to do it.
I play live for my friends, family and sometimes I play the guitar while my Dad sings.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It gives exposure to smaller more independent bands. I think it has been really good. But as most of the things in this world, it's a double-edged sword.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Maybe.
I would need to prepare better and of course, lose that stage-fright thingie.

No history per se.
Just played the piano since I was 7 till 12.
After that, I started with guitars in my second year of college and haven't stopped since.

Your influences?
I listen to a lot of types of music but one of my favorite genres is "Bohemia" (Puertorican folk/love songs) and Emo.
Favorite spot?
Seattle, or where I'm at right now ;-)
