Singer/songwriter who classifies his style as Punkfolkpop. Think aggression, feeling, message and melody. A good hook can't be beat, whether it's loud and fast or soft and tender
Not really at this point. My music now is more of a personal creative outlet, being that I'm married now, full time job, 2 small kids, mortgage, etc.
I do however enjoy playing live when the chance does come up. No drug in the world can ever touch the rush of playing live and having and audience support what your doing.
Bob Mould has been a HUGE influence on me. Other major ones are; The Tragically Hip, Hugh Dillon/Headstones, The Killjoys/Mike Trebilcock, Matthew Good, Neil Young, The Who, The Ramones, The Clash, Gordon Lightfoot, Bruce Cockburn, Tom Wilson, Johnny Cash, The Weakerthans, Bad Religion.
My main guitar is a '91 Gibson SG Standard. My other guitars include a 2011 60's Tribute Gibson SG Special, a '56 reissuse Epiphone Gold Top Les Paul with P 90's, a Squier Telecaster customized by me to look like a single pick-up Esquire(I had a doubleblade single coil sized humbumbucker put in), a killer sounding '57 reissue Epipjone Les Paul Jr. with a much improved aftermarket P 90, an Epiphone Dot studio, Squier P-Bass, 70's El Degas Gibson Dove copy that I restored that belonged to my late father-in-law, and an old Yamaha acoustic which sounds pretty damn good for a cheap acoustic! My electrics go through one of my 2 Peavey Classic series amps; a Classic 20 all tube, one 8' speaker, or my Classic 50 2*12 all tube. My effects include a Morley Power Wah/Volume, Ibanez Tube Screamer reissue, MXR Distortion +, Boss Hi-Band Flanger, a Rocktron tremolo, and a MXR Carbon Copy delay . Plus during recording various emulations in Apple's Garageband recording software. Mics are Shure SM-57 for the amps and a Samson C01 condenser.
