When you really truly love someone

This song is all about defiance in the face of inadequacy. There’s a tinge of sadness… but, it’s resolutely upbeat.

Housebills and Fruitbowls

This one's all about love that's a little unsure and unrequited. The sadness here is about misleading someone. That said, it's fun and comes packed with a sense of hope.

Earthling (busy proving you're something)

This one seems really lovely, but if you listen carefully, it's a bit cruel. Necessarily so, though, I think. It's really an assessment of a breakdown between two people who maintain love for each other.
writes and performs songs for piano and voice, and currently lives in Brisbane, Australia.
Band/artist history
Now, as friends pack-up and leave, get married and assume fulltime work, Scott’s taken stock and decided he's done with procrastination... the songs are ready for sharing. They're heartening and imaginative; homespun and eclectic.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Currently I'm preoccupied working fulltime, until the end of this year, at ABC Radio in Brisbane, Australia. I produce evening programming, so it's kind of difficult to play gigs. However, in the new year (of 2006) I intend playing as much as possible.
Your musical influences
Ed Harcourt, with no Mercury Music Prize nominations in sight; Tim Freedman, without any runs on the board; Rufus Wainwright, sans velvet pants; Fiona Apple, without the tumultuous wordplay; Randy Newman, missing the eyewear and Hollywood sheen; Tori Amos, minus the religious references and fairies; Jon Brion, without the cool Largo gigs and cred; Eviatar Banai, although not Israeli; Hawksley Workman, except not quite as broad-shouldered and rock; Ben Folds, without the battered fingers.
