The Ryan Formato Band is an instrumental rock band that features ultra ripping instrumental guitar shred combined with great melodies. Ultra catchy riffing combined with tasteful guitar playing makes the Ryan Formato Band one of the newest and hottest bands around.
Ryan Formato self-released his CD, "Out of This World," which got rave reviews all over the internet. He then needed a band to back him up to play out live and the band formed around May of 2004. They will be playing locally around the Long Island area to gain support and promote instrumental rock around the Island. He then released his most recent album, Rise From the Dead in 2010.
The Ryan Formato Band plays live and is currently and steadily building a fanbase, especially through the internet.
Ryan Formato's greatest place he played at was at the Eric Clapton's Crossroad's festival for the Guitarmageddon 2004 competition. Out of 3500 competitors, he ranked in the top 6 and played to an audience of 15,000 people.
Ryan Formato is influenced by guitarists such as Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, Jason Becker, Rusty Cooley, Jeff Denny, and many other great guitarists.
