Why this name?
Well, the cest side is the relax part and the pool side is the party side. Put it together and you have the calgon of rap! New millenium rap! Also, it's a metaphor describing the game and how grimey it has become. We're using it as a springboard out of "the cestpool of life" and elevate our audience's mindstate.
Do you play live?
Not regularly but we had played live. We perform in various clubs and venues in NYC. That's the best thing about this profession. The public's reaction to your music! It's all luv! Oh yeah, there was one time where we auditioned for this talk show. We showed up too early and the producers asked us to perform before the audition. We had the whole room and lobby moving to our song. We loved it!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well we know this much, it will level the playing field a little bit. The small man will get a larger chance to suceed. That is so vital to the artist. If you feel that you are ready, there's really nothing to stop you. But always remember to copyright protect yourself!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
No! We like our freedom.

Run DMC, EPMD, Naughty by nature, Nas, outcast, kool g rap, rakim, redman.
