Hostage, the Artist/Producer, grew up in New Jersey slums, which held little hope for escape. His struggles led to a kaleidoscope of records and instrumentals.

Thought provoking and rhythmic lyrics set his production apart. Socially conscious themes are combined with melodic beats to produce a sound that inspires one towards self-reflection, determination, or dancing. “I am the go-to guy when your music needs emotion.”

Hostage describes his own music as orchestral and intense while at the same time signifying deep meaning. “All music is about stories. My job is to write the lyrics to those stories and set them to music. My music will always reflect who I am.”

When asked about his first experience with music, Hostage responded, “My dad played drums for Roberta Flack, so a drum machine is no problem.” He continued, “…and my production team has worked with major and independent music labels. My sound is unique, my vibe is different, and my flow is serious.”
