Escape

Escapism from Exile, from Captivity, from Life, from Death, from the Mrityu Lok.
Brahma Naad is a quartet with a very different approach to music. With influences ranging right from Hindustani classical masterpieces, to the melodies of Dylan, Brahma Naad’s music will keep you at the edge of your seat. Formed in February 2011, Brahma Naad is a fairly new group of highly experienced musicians. Playing with the undying spirit of ragas and the complexity of time signatures is the art that Brahma Naad calls theirs. Brahma Naad is, Vinay Ramadasan (Vocals) - With over 14 years of vocal training under Pt. Ramesh Narayan, Vinay is one musician who knows his music in and out. Abhishek Borkar (Sarod) - Son and disciple of Pt. Shekhar Borkar, Abhishek is a young musician with a very bright future. The youngest member of the band, he brings colour to the music of Brahma Naad with his Sarod. Abhishek 'Debbie' Debsikdar (Drums) - Hailing from Sangli, Debbie is a drummer with tremendous technical knowledge who has dedicated his life to understanding the drums. Expressing fluidity in his playing, he locks in and creates the perfect rhythm section. Keshav Iyengar (Guitar/Bass guitar/Vocals) - Keshav’s strong basslines are like little stories that, along with Debbie's tight drums, hold the band together. Also a proficient guitarist, and being the only western melody-maker in the band, Keshav also serves as the guitar player in Brahma Naad.
Band/artist history
Formed in February 2011, Brahma Naad is a fairly new group of highly experienced musicians. Formed originally as a one gig band, the musical understanding was too intense to be given up. Playing with the undying spirit of ragas and the complexity of time signatures is the art that Brahma Naad calls theirs.
