HELLO! WORLD! I am Rokk-I La' VON. I am the CEO $ President of La' VON Recordz and La' VON Music, Inc. I am also the head beat produce aswell! I am a HUGE Jazz fan, so I wanted to share with the world my sound (The La' VON SOUND) and make a New Age/Smooth Jazz record that "Everyone" can feel!!! I fell in love with Jazz the first time I heard Stanly Clarke compose a song on the "Boyz N Da Hood" sound track! I wanted to make music like that! NOW I AM BRINGING (THE La' VON SOUND) to the world with my debut CD "1 Man Jazz"

Why this name?

The name "1 Man Jazz" came about simply because, I MAKE ALL OF THE MUSIC MYSELF!

Do you play live?

My music is all over the internet! So I haven't played live in years! I am putting together a live band so we can perform all of my tracks off of the "1 Man Jazz" album live!

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

The internet does change the music industry! Now the artist can have full control of their music! Also, now with the internet your music can be heard by billions of people all over the world! Even if you are a NEW artist.

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

HELL NO!!! My Label La' VON RECORDZ will be a major record company in 5years! "Believe That!"

Band History:

I have played the French Horn and Piano. I write songs. I wrote my first song "Hearts of Love" back in 1987. I played the french horn in Jr. and Sr. High school! I have written rap songs, R&B songs and Soul songs for several "wanna be' singers and rappers!

This is easy! Teddy Riley, Norman Brown, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Grover Washington Jr, Devante Swing, Wayman Tisdale, DJ Quik and Kenny G.
