composite.human is a one-man experimental noise factory based in Southern California
Why this name?
the name was adopted from the anime 'Boogiepop Phantom'
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it helps a great deal for underground artists to get some much-needed world-wide exposure...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
sure, although the likelyhood of that happening with this type of music is slim...
Band History:
composite.human first began under the name 'Obscurity' --- the first recordings were very crude, using a microphone, guitar, digital delay/pitch-shift pedal, and dual-cassette deck...during this time, an early recording was featured in the last issue of 'Friends of the Draft Resistance, and underground noise 'zine...but due to lack of funds and decent recording equipment, the project was put on hold...enter 2003, where with the aid of Cubase SX, Acid Pro 4, and other software, the project was re-born with a new name and newer, more focused sound.
Your influences?
Coil, Merzbow, the Hanatarash, the Incapacitants, the Gerogerigegege, Violent Onseen Geisha, Trey Azagthoth, Scorn, Mortiis, Godflesh, Pink Floyd, Gentle Giant, the Mahavishnu Orchestra, Weather Report, Billy Cobham, video game & movie soundtracks...
Favorite spot?
