Sure, things seemed to happen quickly for the band. It was readily apparent that each individual in the group brought tremendous energy and charisma, and the early inklings of a final lineup were established in a matter of days. Sure, the first two singles were written only moments thereafter, bringing an otherwise unknown confidence to the fledgling group and their local scene, the likes of which has not been witnessed in recent memory… beginner’s luck, right? Fortunately for the band, beginner’s luck is merely cliché, one that fails to acknowledge the level of experience and talent underlying their immediate success and cohesion as a band – and their "luck" shows no signs of fading. Since the band started in May 2003, nothing has stood in the way of progress, ever onward and upward, with mounting acclaim both locally and nationally. Their on stage chemistry coupled with the mass distribution of their 3 song demo helped their first performance see a crowd that seasoned local acts openly envied, and word spread very quickly. Since, the band has played numerous shows at most reputable venues within the confines of hometown Columbus, Ohio, as well as many out-of-town dates that proved the attention wasn’t a fluke, an all-original band gleaning the attention of crowds normally won over only by cover bands must really have something. To call it energy or passion or any recombinant variation thereof would be far too limited. Call it what it is… destiny in the making. The band is poised to move quickly through the ranks of would-be musicians, soon to likely find themselves realizing the dream that brought them fatefully together in the beginning. Keep an ear to the street, FortheDrive is coming!
Why this name?
The band name was chosen after several weeks of tossing out unsuitable or taken band names. The name actually came up when the drummer was in a car with a few friends and he handed them a demo cd to play while in route to a friends house. "Here, this is a CD for the drive" Eddy said. It just clicked. He presented the idea to the band and they approved.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is a great networking tool for the modern musician. 15 or 20 years ago it was nearly impossible to distribute your music to mass audiences for a band on this level. This change in technology has also had negative effects due to the common internet pirate who undermine the industry by stealing material from an artist who does not approve. Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes we would under the right circumstances
