Back in 2003, I released my first solo CD of "electronic-infused garage rock," Pop Nightmare, under the working name of st:trax and beganam currently working on the second, Dreaming and Other Diversions. What's it sound like? I like to think it sounds like modern incidental music from shows like Alias and the like, but I'm probably just dreaming. Maybe it's like the accident that would happen if the Chemical Brothers smashed their bus into Van Halen or Nirvana. Who knows? Just listen and find out for yourself.
Why this name?
ST is my initials. Trax is what I do.
Do you play live?
Not for the st:trax stuff. It just doesn't lend itself to the live show.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Certainly makes music more directly accessible to the fans.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course. Gotta pay the mortgage somehow.
Your influences?
Chemical Brothers, Euphoria, Gorillaz
Favorite spot?
Here at home in the ATL.
Equipment used:
Downloaded loops, my computer, various software programs, my live Tele guitar, Fender bass, Yamaha keys.
dreaming and other diversions
