You don't normally hear musicians let alone music artists wearing hearing aids. Since Hip Hop died after the era of Eminem, Nas, KRS-One, Tupac, and more, Chris "Frequent C" Bruce, a 18 yr old hip hop artist from Long Island, NY, is determined to bring it back. Nothing will be able to stop him. With his family, crew, and his idol Eminem in mind, he WILL make it to the top, no matter what the obstacles are.
Why this name?
I was given my MC Name by a rapper down my block. I wear hearing aids, which have frequency waves, and my name is Chris. So, I took the name Frequent C.
Do you play live?
Not at the moment. I did have a special moment though. I've battled a couple of kids at my school in the lunchroom, and surprisingly, I won every round. I have also did my first lyrical performance at St. John's University at a Student Orientation.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the internet provides great opportunities for people and their music talents to get discovered.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course, depending on the perks and priviledges that come along with that.
Band History:
It all started in 6th grade. I would write lyrics and the teacher would take them away. It wouldn't matter to me though, because I kept on writing. I had this crew I used to chill with every weekend. We'd play basketball, play video games, go around places, but thats it. It felt like we needed more in life. We started to form a group called Project 4. We made our first song called My First Love. Afterwards, we decided to change our name to Just Us 4. That worked for a while, until we changed our name to Young Magiic. Nobody really liked that name, so the name changed back to Just Us 4. We were usually recording R&B music. Then, we started working on making singles as well. We decided to call ourselves the Infamous 4. We were known around our area for awhile. Then I got into a relationship with this whore, who basically f***ed up my friendship with them, but also showed me the bullshit they put me through. But either way, she's still a whore. Back to subject. The group was broken up. I had the studio at my crib, so we could only record at my house, but I never let them. I'm cool with only one member of that old group, J Love. The others are posers and not even worth my time.

My old MC name used to be Lil'C. Then I changed it to Lil'JC. Nobody thought that name fit me. So I changed it to Hypnotiq Flame. Everyone thought that name was gay. So I was Lil'C once again. I used to rap with this guy down the block, who also had a studio. He thought of my hearing aids and how they have frequency waves, so he decided to call me Frequent C. I've been Frequent C ever since that day.

I've been managed by my good friend Antonio "Neco" Patino with my main producer Douglas "Dougy Black" Blackmon. They helped get word around about my lyrical status. Now...I'm notorious where I live. If you never heard of me before, I'm damn sure and I guarantee you, you've heard me now.
Your influences?
Eminem basically is my idol. He is the reason why I rap.
Favorite spot?
My neighborhood, New York City, and Florida.
