My name's Elena , I am 21 and live in Russia.
I live in the middle of Russia, in the Urals, on the border of Asia and Europa, a fabulous land of ancient mountains, rushing streams and purest smooth lakes. The Ural is mostly famous for its skilled craftsmen and mineral wealth. And, yes, we have bears here – there are a lot of them in our zoo!
I like everything new, I like being creative and original, I like fantasizing.
The sense of humour and fidelity are the qualities I mostly appreciate in people.
The city, where I live, is called Magnitogorsk. I study at the University at the Faculty of Linguistics and Foreign Languages. I'm a seniour student and this year is my last year of studying (at last!)
I like foreign languages, though it's sometimes a bit hard for me, because I'm a very restless person (in my case it ifluences my logic badly)
I was born in 1988 in the USSR. At that time the access to music from abroad was limited. The Beatles were forbidden. But soon "The Little Mermaid" was released and it was a starting point for me. Some ideas of this story regarding to music are really great. And also I'm very grateful to Andrew Lloyd Webber for it was he who opened the world of classical music for me, especially when it comes to Opera.
And now a few lines about my personality:
I always had a passion for music, painting, literature, fairy-tales, philosophy, art in general, because in my imagination I could be everyone and experience everything. For a long time I had lived in my own fantastic world and was rather shy. Perhaps that̢۪s why my favourite hero in the adolescence was the Phantom of the Opera. When a child, I imagined that I was Zorro and my cycle was my beautiful black horse Tornado!
In my spare time I like reading, my top nine are Shakespeare, Tolkien, Bunin, Goethe, Berns, Hajam, Pushkin, Hesse , Show and other classics. Yet I prefer to spend time actively, that's why I like sport, dancing and don'ty like television or radio. I also like french musicals, old films with Mario Lanza, Deanna Durbin and a lot of jazz! I like nature and animals, especially cats.
I listen mostly to classical music and musicals, I like folk and medieval music, celtic harp and chill out, I like classical crossover and such groups as Nightwish and Blackmore̢۪s night. My favourite singers are Sarah Brightman, Bruno Pelletier, Vittorio Grigolo, Katherine Jenkins, Renata Tebaldi, Magomaev. I call all them my Angels of music...
