Band? What band? ;)
I'm a one man's band. I make music because I enjoy it a lot. For me it's not a religion. I make Dance, Trance and Electronica, but may very well write a romantic song some day. My songs usually are melodious. I'm not so into the abstractness of some styles of music. Although I like abstract paintings. :)
I always look for a nice chord progression or melody first before I start writing a song. Sometimes that means nothing comes for weeks. But then..it flows. My latest song always is my favorite. Until now that is.

Why this name?
One day, around midnight, I was taking a taxi to go party in Panama City. He asked my name. I said Ronald. He said Coronado? We became close friends over the time. He still calls me Coronado. My alter ego sort off. Now I have this page, he wants royalties. Go figure! ;)
Do you play live?
No. I used to DJ 30 years ago, when it was just a crazy well paid job. I've been thinking about picking that up again. I enjoyed it a lot. Playing, no. I'm a studio musician. Special moments... several. One time there was this girl.. ;)
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Internet will make it harder to distinguish yourself. There's big market and a huge amount of suppliers. That means there will always be a distribution channel that does the pre-selection for the consumers. Be it on CD or whatever. In a way the Soundclick charts work like that . Good thing, everyone has a chance now. Bad thing, mp3 doesn't supply quality sound. Because of that detail in music is becoming less important..
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Hmm.. all depends. I'm not looking for that really. If they come with a nice deal, which allows me to develop my music with professionals. I think I would. Again, all depends. I'll be watching my mailbox..
Band History:
What band?
Your influences?
Jean Michel Jarre is the very reason I touched my first keyboard. I really thank him for that. I was blown away by his music. Magnetic Fields part 2, the first track I listened. Amazing 25/30 years ago. Jan Hammer (Miami Vice era) great music. DJ Tiesto I really admire for his melodious works. I also enjoy Latin, Ethnic and Oriental music. Often you'll find those elements in my work.
Favorite spot?
Tough choice. I would say Carthagena, Colombia. Beautiful city, great beach, wonderful people, beautiful women, good food and lots of sun.
Equipment used:
Synthesizers: Korg M3 with Radias (and Karma, Thanks Stephen Kay), Access Virus Ti a midi controller and some virtual synths. My digital studio: Motu 828 MK3, Mackie Control Universal Pro and a set of Rokit 6 KRK monitors. Besides a fast computer of course..
Anything else...?
Never say anything goes to me. You'll be sorry! Then again maybe not.. I'll keep it like this for now. ;)
