Ayyyy wats good fellow artists?! I hope all of you get the chance to hear my music. I really wanna be a part of hip hop and the growth that its going through. I listen to any and all hip hop and Im not one to say that its dead or that some artists are making it ashamed and not worth listening too. Anything that an artist creates and can touch you in anyway is a beautiful thing plus whatever the fans love is most important. Music is music, and I suggest if you dont like how its going then get up off your ass and do something about it. I love what hip hop was and what its becoming and I wanna be a part of it thats why I make beats, Im a songwriter so I write my own lyrics and I master my own sounds. If hard work pays off then Im gonna prove it....n my sh*** is always hot. Thats why I change toilets every month hahhaaaa. keep checkin out my music. show some love. 1
Why this name?
I chose Revize as my artist name because I like doing things different. I dont like to be a follower and the word revize means to do things a different way or to change it up.
Do you play live?
I havent gotten a chance to play live. I really just put my first step on the ladder and its a long way up. So Im not heard of at all but everyone starts from the ground up.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It can benefit the artist as well as damage him/her. Now a days with the downloads people can get songs off an album for free and its a good thing people can hear the artist's message or creations and touch the listener but its also a shame that someone wont go out and buy the album like its supposed to be. Downloaded music can make the artists more popular but I think its impossible to stop the pirating unless a HUGE move is made from the internet's side.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Thats the goal! Yea I would but it also depends on how I am approached. I want to be taken serious but I have a lot of patience. I dont care if Im signed and put on the rack for a while. I'll still be working hard to make myself better and when the time comes I'll put my work in to help the label. But yea I would want to sign a record contract with a label.
Band History:
Its just me...
Your influences?
First it would have to be the rappers that were in the game before me and the ones that are in it now like Jay-Z Em Nas Lil Wayne Busta Rhymes Meth n Red Fabolous I can keep naming some. You cant forget about Pac n Biggie Krs LL .I hear them talk about where they've come from and the troubles they had when they were on the come up. So does that mean I have to be struggling or seeing violence or be in a gang to become a rapper? Nah. Im none of the above. But I wanna be on top. But to do that you have to start at the very bottom. Another rapper that inspired me and showed me that I can make music is Drake. This dude came out of no where...what the f***? He was on a show called Degrassi now hes making HITS! Hes on Lil Wayne's Young Money label so he shows me if you have the right dedication and you make sure you make GOOD music you should be heard and you should be given a chance.
Favorite spot?
My city, Chelsea in Boston MA is another musical influence in my life. I try to put everything I see around me into lyrics or try to read the mood of a certain day or event around my city and put music into it. Like a movie. So Im in hollywood everyday putting music to everything I see in my life, my movie. And my City helps me do that.
Equipment used:
Fruity Loops Adobe Audition and I have my home studio. My heart and mind.
Anything else...?
Basically Im not gonna stop until I get somewhere with music. Im only 20 years old!
