MR. LOCO'S BIO The half Latino, half Scandinavian rapper Mr. Loco was born in Novato, Ca 1981 and lived in different parts of the Bay area with his mother until she passed away in 1991. He then moved to his father over seas, hoping to grow up in a more secure environment, but instead he got caught up in crime as a teenager and ended up getting sent to, 2 different juvenile correction centers where he spent a year in total. When he got out, he continued down the same self destructive path and got deeper and deeper in to the criminal life style. In the end of 2003 Mr. Loco started taking his music more serious and had hope on a way out of the life where his friends had either ended up in heavy drug abuses, in jail or dead. In 2004 is when everything really started taking off after Mr. Loco started collaborating with internationally known artists and labels such as Cee-Rock The Fury, Mob Life Records and Steady Mobbin Productions. In 2005 DJ Pimp, Mike Mosley and Assassin of Steady Mobbin took Mr. Loco under their wing and schooled him on the game and Mr. Loco became a part of Mike Mosley's legendary Steady Mobbin and Assassin's Liferdef Mafia. Since then Mr. Loco has been involved in releasing more then 20 mixtapes including the 2009 release "DJ King Assassin presents: D.L.E.MM.A. & Mr. Loco - 4 Tha Thugz & Guttar Folk", which was a West Coast / East Coast collaboration project that had heavy influence and support by 2pac's former crews, Thug Life and Outlawz and it was hosted by Assassin. Mr. Loco has also had the opportunity to work with other big names such as Tha Realest, San Quinn, West Turf, JT The Bigga Figga, Mopreme Shakur, Big Fase 100 and too many more to name. To make it as short as possible, Mr. Loco is very well connected and respected amongst the OG's and has had a chance to prove him self as a serious artist in the game.
You might have heard Mr. Loco on other album's, compilations and mixtapes as well. He's been featured on Lil Prophet Presents: 2pac - World Wide Mob Figga, West Turf Presents, Nation Wide Networking, a number of the popular mixtape series "West Coast Gunsmoke" and many many more!
Mr. Loco has released and been involved in so many mixtapes that he is now determined to get his label WGG Digital Ent. up and running with both physical and digital distribution and has just released his first 2 real retail album "OG Status"and OG Status Vol. 2! The albums features Assassin, Big Fase 100, San Quinn, Mopreme Shakur, JT The Bigga Figga, J Rush, Penn St8 and many more! I use to, haven't done it in a long time now, but when ever someone is interested and if the pay is right, I'll do it.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?

The internet is a great tool for the underground rappers out there to get their voices heard and it's also great way of promotion and networking for the majors as well!
In a time where all we hear on the radio is a bunch of muthaf***az tryin' to make radio friendly dance hits, the internet is also a great tool to listen to the people who stay true to reality rap and to find new ones...

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?

As long as the pay is right and I get a deal with a label that really supports true reality rap.

Band History:

I'm one of the co-founders of both Thug style and Wize Guyz Global. Back in 1997 me and my dogg Anuubis started Thug style as a street crew / Rap Group. We hustled together, recorded at the dope spot and was rollin' European Mafia style for hella years. In 2006 I left Thug style after a few differences Anuubis and My self had at the time and I started Wize Guyz Global with MC Ron. Wize Guyz Global is the Movement where every member is their own chapters boss and we consist of many artists and other people around the whole world!

Your influences?

Ice-T, Makaveli (R.I.P.), Thug Life and the Outlawz are my biggest influences in the game and all the other REAL muthaf***az out there who stay true to this reality music!

Favorite spot?

The Bay Area and Orange County, CA!!

Equipment used:

My own studio and man I have never been more satisfied with the sound, mixing and mastering then what I have been able to do myself. When I do it, I allways get it the way I want it to be ya feel me?
