Our goal is to introduce the world to ...... REBEL NATION. A new breed of Bay Area artist and producers from the Bay Area with a distinct flavor and style. Starting from the collaboration of REBEL members in 2001, began the blending of Skilled RHYMING mixed with ear catching BEATS, to making "Bump In Ur Trunk" music. Starting with only Raw TALENT!!

Our large selection of Hip-Hop/Rap/R&B Instrumentals we had available allowed us to formulate some extraordinary tracks. For my Hardcore Riders to my freestyling Hip-Hop heads, to my party lovers. We bring u some heat from the Bay.
Why this name?
Our name was originated by Rebel Nation founder Carl Dawson & Kista Murphy. What we were trying to represent and display in our music was summed up in that one word. REBEL. Rebel against normal brainwashing music format. Rebel against the wrongs that commence in our system. Rebels against wack music.
Do you play live?
Send us an email. We'll put you on our email list and keep you updated on future Rebel events
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
MP3 changed the music industry dramatically. Not only has it made it possible to get music free, it has also made it possible for little joe's like us to be able to introduce our work to the world. Not to mention sell our CD and keep most of the profit.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes we would sign with a major label in hopes that either any of our artist that is chosen is treated fairly (I know. Good Luck) and there is a profitability for both artist and record label.
A major can get us exposed to a much larger audience. Our music will make the sells.
Band History:
REBEL NATION was created in early 2001. After listening to what was playing on the radio at the time and comparing our freestyle "playaround songs" to what we were hearing, our thoughts went from playing to working. Forming a multi-talented collective group of artist to offset the norm and give reason back into this Hip-Hop game and ghetto life. The struggles, the hussles, the joys, the pain, Words and Thoughts that all can feel and understand. Not just mindless jibber jabber
Your influences?
Everything. From the Indian flutes to Rock to Tango music to Reggae, Chinese guitars. But what influences us the most obviously is Hip/Hop & R&B. We are a blend of individuals that come from old school and new so the blending is a perfect blend of the greats like Marvin & Aretha to Big Daddy Kane & KRS-1 and Dr. Dre to the likes of Mary J. & Smokey or better yet Rick James and Tina Marie. Then some more greats like Nas and EPMD, Tupac & Biggie, and just a whole range of Musical talents the paved the way for people like us.
Favorite spot?
Bay Area, Oakland
Anything else...?
Our goal is to let the world know that us rap cats and street husslers in all have a spiritual side as well as the hyphi side. We have minds and God has blessed up to be able to use them to create extraordinary music.
