I'm Chris Jay Becker. I'm a singer-songwriter and guitar-thumper with the occasional foray into mandolin, blues harp, and slide guitar.
My songs mix rock, country, folk, the blues, and gospel. You could call it Alternative Country, Acoustic Rock, or Roots Rock.
Think John Mellencamp, Steve Earle, or acoustic Springsteen.
I hope you like these songs. They're lo-fi acoustic demos, but I think they're pretty good songs.lke
Why this name?
I use all three names in tribute to all those great songwriters like Jerry Jeff Walker, Billy Joe Shaver, and Lee Harvey Oswald.
Do you play live?
Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It will soon BE te music industry.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes, but only for the studio time, production, and distribution. I still need complete creative control.
(cue maniacal laughter...)

I also write and produce Techno/Trance/House under the name DJ Blurry Guy.

I also write southern gospel music, and am working on an Americana Gospel CD: "American Gospel."
