I'm 18 years old and a freshman at Boston University. After experiencing the styles of Dave Matthews, James Taylor, and other acoustic favorites, I knew that guitar was something I wanted to pursure. At the age of 13 I got my first guitar. Within months I was creating songs of my own and collaborating with friends. As of now, I hope that the music I create can one day be appreciated by enough people that I do not have to wear a suit and tie to work.
Why this name?
Well I guess I got the name at birth. I'm gonna have to give credit where credit is due and thank my parents.
Do you play live?
I play open mics around the area and can occasionally be found playing venues with other local bands.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
MP3's are a tool that artists for the last couple years have banked on in order to succeed. I feel that yes, record sales go down, but for the local unkown arists, MP3 swapping is what will get your record sales to be existent in the first place.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Si.
Band History:
I started playing guitar when I was 13 years old.
Your influences?
The obvious influences are John Mayer, Dave Matthews, Josh Kelley, those guys. But my roots come from people like Wes Montgomery and Miles Davis, as well as bands such as Earth, Wind and Fire and Tower of Power.
Favorite spot?
My favorite spot would have to be my basement, which is home to the "music studio".
Equipment used:
Takamine electric/acoustic.
Anything else...?
Thanks for checkin this out, have a great day.
