Chymical Wedding is a Gothic/Thrash metal band from Houston, TX. They were formed in 2009 by guitarist Byron Dickens and singer/ multi-instrumentalist Sage Rose as a vehicle to explore their mutual musical interests. Their music blends thrash and gothic metal influences as well as prog rock.
Chymical Wedding's lyrics draw from literature, mysticism, geopolitics, history, and psychology in explorations of the human condition.
Main musical influences include Iron Maiden, Queensryche, Lacuna Coil, Rush and many more.

Why this name?
We were looking for something that embodied the idea of the union of opposites - male and female, dark and light - as a path towards transformation.
Do you play live?
Not yet as a band. We are still putting this project together.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet allows a lot of music to get out to the public that would otherwise not be heard. It frees a lot of artists from the commercial restraints that drive the traditional record industry.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
A distribution deal maybe, but we are not about to have someone else try to dictate our direction.
