I play a one of a kind KR Flamenco guitar made by Kevin Robertson from California, a modified Yamaha Flamenco guitar, Pimentel classical guitar, Fretless Flamenco guitar, Midi Flamenco guitar, and a Fender Tele and Strat, and harmonica. I use D'Addario nylon strings on all of my Flamenco guitars, and I use DR blues strings on my Teles and Strats. I also use keyboards and synths for backgrounds. All of my Flamenco guitars and vocals are recorded with an AKG 2000c condenser microphone.
I do not like under the saddle pick-ups for acoustic recording in most cases.
On the song " Interstate Raindance" I played a Fender Tele for the accompaniment and the background textures. A lot of these songs are just rough demos recorded with Boss RC-50 looper. I also use Sony Sound Forge Pro for final mastering.
I have a library of recording software that I use occasionally, but only when I am doing a lot of tracking. I really like to keep the recording process economical so that I can feel what I am doing on the instrument. The last song "Texas" is my anthem for the state of Texas in which I used ''Reason'' software for the orchestral portion, a Pimentel classical guitar and a harmonica for this score.
