-King Gangsta aka Gregory Raul Thompson (25 years old) is the son of award winning producer and violinist (Jamal Thompson) who is best know for his work in the 70's and early 80's. King Gangsta is half black and half german and was raised in the hardest projects of america which is the 3rd ward Calliope Projects in NEW ORLEANS raised around drugs,murder,prostituition and real O.G's and raised by one of the hardest men alive which is JAMAL THOMPSON. King Gangsta currently lives in Los Angeles down on San Julian holding it down for everybody on the row and helping clean up the community with his profitable donations to the San Julian area.
-King Gangsta has been rapping ever since he started talking his dad Jamal Thompson had him start right away! Which has paid off for King Gangsta who is now being considered by many to be the next Lil Wayne. King Gangsta's god like and highly respected father Jamal Thompson is the owner of CDR RECORDS which is a major label with distribution currently from Koch Records and Warner Bro's.
-King Gangsta released his first solo debut album in 2004 "Block Thugger" which to date has sold 150,000 copys. King Gangsta shocked the world with the words that came out of his mouth and he had the hole world speaking his name from america,canada all the way to asia. People where very suprised to here someone make such gangsta music and litterally mean everything he was saying.. which scared alot of people and made alot of other gangsta rappers have to step there game up. King Gangsta also shocked the world with his rasicm and is well known for hating Caucasians and Asians (Exluding japanese people because king gangsta likes the japanese) His harsh words made the world stop and continues to have people saying OH MY GOD did he just say that?.

Why this name?
Because im a gangsta... Litterally I dont lie like theese other rappers do I was born and raised in the 3rd ward calliope projects of New Orleans and im the son of producer & Violinist JAMAL THOMPSON.
Do you play live?
Ive released alot of albums and with each album I do a small tour to promote the project.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet makes theese posers brave and they can talk sh*** without any consequences because there safe behind there computer screen in there parents home and in another part of the world. I keep it street and respect real street people.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Im currently signed with my dads Major Label CDR RECORDS and used to be signed with Koch Records but I got dropped because a low fan base at the time. But now I just inked a 1 album distribution deal with Warner Bros. Records/CDR RECORDS and I also have my own indie label called SO SO BLACK ENT ive been establishing since 2006 which i have some promising artists to come out in the future. But all this record label stuff is all fun for me because my dad is allready rich so im caked up now i can do whatever i want to do.
