After much pushing, poking, prodding, and threats of bodily harm by his wife, Pat Belcher has just emerged with a collection of nine songs consisting of Jazz, Fusion, Blues, and Easy Listening. Pat's newest release, Emerge, reflects his musical experiences, concepts, and talent.
Why this name?
Since I do all of the playing, production, and recording, I did it all By Hand!
Do you play live?
Currently I do not play live but am entertaining the idea.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The Internet/MP3 has vastly changed the industry. Although there is more competition, the opportunity to be heard, sell music, and get discovered is more wide open now than ever.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure.
Band History:
Started generating ideas for songs as early as the 80's. Started seriously producing and recording in the last couple of years.
Your influences?
Some of my musical influences are Spyro Gyra, Steely Dan, Chuck Mangione, Herb Alert, BB King, Ray Charles, Cream, Van Halen, SRV, Rush, Led Zeppelin.
Favorite spot?
South Florida in the Winter.
Equipment used:
Gibson acoustic and electric guitars, Korg N-264, Pro Tools, and various virtual instruments.
