Why this name?
We started out being called Duce...just for 2 nyggas...but..that fell lame to us over time. So ...we wanted to create sumn original..sumn that could stick..and sumn that definitely rep'd where we from...so...we came up with NorthRock. We took the little out because ain't shyt little about us...music..rhymes...stature..NUTTIN!!

Do you play live?
Yea...we've done live shows. We've performed at Vino's, KC's Place in Morrilton, DownTown Music Hall, The Metroplex, The Rev Room, Juanita's.. I mean we've touched a lot of stages in a short amount of time. That's all we've done for the past yr and a half maybe. We love it because it's our craft. It's a chance to connect with and gain more fans. Now...does it benefit us...no! Because the industry in Arkansas is not that of say...a Memphis, or a Houston local industry. You're lucky to get in front of 100 people doing a show down here. All depends on who's on the bill. If its a major act on the bill..you may get in front of some heads. If its ALL..local...you can kill it! lol

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it changes the industry in the aspect of ...well the fact that it's the most utilized form of music advertising & marketing and purchasing is the biggest change you can note. Think about...15 yrs ago..you had to pay that $15.99 for that tape or cd (yes I said tape nygga!)..wasn't no way around it really. Now...you can just merely pull up a sight and either download it or play it for free all day until you no longer desire to hear that song or artist. I mean..its cool to me though..because it makes it easier for people to get to and hear your music...which is what this is all about. If you can pull up my music at 2:00 in the morning or 4:00 in the afternoon and bump it doing whatever you may feel like doing...I'm all for that!

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
I like to try to be a person who never says what they will or wont do...because you never know what you will or wont do until you put in a specific situation. But...if I had my choice..I'd say no. Reason being...a major label can't do nothing for me but come take money out of my pocket. I don't need your beats...definitely don't need your rhymes...and I certainly don't need you commercializing my craft. So the only thing they can offer us is a direct path to the mainstream...which isn't all it's cracked up to be if you can look beneath the surface. I got an indie deal. All you can do for us is distribute! That's all we need from anybody!
Your influences?
Pac, B.I.G., Scarface, UGK, OutKast, 8Ball & MJG, Barry White, Rick James, Kurt Cobain, Dr. Dre', Eminem, Jadakiss, Mos Def, just to name a few. I like everything thats original first, and hot second.
Favorite spot?
Haven't done much traveling, but for the sake of this question and interview, we're going to say NorthRock....because it's home. Now...when my ship come in...I think my favorite spot or city will become Amsterdam....for obvious reasons.. ;c)
Equipment used:
To make my production I use FL5, producer edition. We record our vocals using ProTools at Joker Ent.
Anything else...?
The game is NOT ready for NorthRock. Moe & Couch... the 2 hardest unknown MC's on the planet!!
