Well, I play all the tracks myself as I have no band and don't really plan on it any time soon. I have been a musician for almost 41 years now and have loved it all. The thing that makes me feel really good, is when I do sit in with a bad or remember back when I played with different bands was to see the people dancing on the dance floor to our music. It's a great feeling.
Why this name?
This is a name I thought of years ago for a band that never came to be so I used it for myself.
Do you play live?
No. I had a stroke 2 1/2 years ago and can't perform live anymore although I would love to. I love playing live and to see the people swaying to the bands music. I have one special moment, at 17 I had the opertunity to play drums with back up band on the Grand 'Ol Opre' but turned it down 'cas when we all strated that band, we made an agreement that if any of us had the chance to make it to the 'Opre, it they didn't want all of us, we wouldn't go. Ya know, a one for all and all for one one. We all kept that promise.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has given musicians world wide the ability to be heard and to hear other musicians-singers.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Not now, I had my chance years ago and, after this *&$% stroke I have mentioned, I just don't have the ability to play like I used to. I can play drums resonably well but it left my fingers slower moving.
Band History:
LOL ... I started the learning process of multi-track recording just about a year ago and am still learning.
Your influences?
My biggest infuence was my uncle who helped me learn to play drums although he could not play them. He would be sitting around practicing and singing and I would sit close by and beat on anything that sound similar to a drum ... sofa arms, chair seats, etc. and one day he said " You know .... you're starting to get a beat and rythm". He went out and bought my first set of drums for me and thats what started it.
Favorite spot?
Can't really say, it seems like I have been every where and played there to.
Equipment used:
I use mostly all analog equipment. Tape decks, mixers, etc. Although I do have 3 peices of "digital" gear :( I added 2 nady GEQ-131 31 channel EQ's and a Lexicon "Alex" digital special effects unit. I don't have an echo room so I bought the Alex DSP to get that one effect.
Anything else...?
I love the people I have met here on SoundClick. They are all warm, tender hearted men and women. Thank you SoundClick.
