Welcome to Checo's Production and thank you for your support. Louis Felipe & Elvis both hope that their fans really enjoy their new Merengue y Bachata albums, produced by the famous Dominican musician and composer, Javier Ricardo. Many of the songs included in both albums were written and interpreted by both artists based on their lives experiences.
Why this name?
Louis Felipe & Los !ntokables & Elvis Checo & Los Caballeros del Merengue. These names were chosen as band names because they simply associate with Louis & Elvis personalities.
Do you play live?
There's no greater experience than performing live in front of so many people who are looking forward to hearing your music.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
We strongly believe that the internet has opened many new doors for independant artists who can produce their music and promote it with little investment, eliminating the need for getting a major label contract.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
We would sign a contract with a major label, as long as their interest and goals are inline with our goals and the deal is at least 50/50.
Band History:
Louis Felipe used to be a professional Latin Dancer and he had a few live performances in Fort Lauderdale, Japan, South Korea, and Dominican Republic. However, both bothers used to like reading poetry and writing songs, since they were teenagers.
Your influences?
Today, we enjoy going to live concerts to see famous singers such as Marc Anthony, Juan Luis Guerra, Ramon Orlando Valoy, Raulin Rodriguez, Hector Acosta, Aventura, Yoskar Sarante, Camila, Mana, etc. However, our music style is greatly influenced by Latin Culture, Live Experiences, Reggaeton, FreeStyle, Latin Pop, Spanish Rock, R&B, Salsa, Merengue, and Bachata.
Favorite spot?
Santiago, The Big Apple, Seoul, and Miami.
Equipment used:
Acustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Base, Bongos, Guiras, and a whole gang of musicians.
