Hi. I'm Aarryn, a fairly new artist, who began writing around June of 2008. This page was primarily constructed for additional exposure and/or feedback on original work. Your constructive criticism is welcome (and much appreciated), as is collaborative input.

I've been playing piano since the age of 10, with very minimal training. I also dabble a bit with the acoustic guitar, but unfortunately, don't own one yet. I feel that music is a very powerful tool for expression, coping, self-realization, fun, and stress relief. To write a song for a major recording artist to perform would be the ultimate for me, I don't necessarily desire to become famous or anything like that. My equipment consists of a Yamaha MOTIF ES8, a Shure SM57 microphone, and Cubase software. If you want to know more, subscribe to my blog, or my YouTube channel, shoot me a message, or a friend request. New fans of my work are always welcome.

Why this name?
Hehe...its just the name my mama gave me.
Do you play live?
I've been a part of several live band projects, but am not currently performing live. Yes, I enjoy playing for people. I played reception music for my sister's wedding last year, so that was pretty special...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I suppose it has made it harder for artists to make money, given the amount of people who choose not to pay. Then again, the internet can be a tool for promotion, opening up the doors to people who might have otherwise never heard of you. The downside to mp3s is that we've nearly abandoned album artwork.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It depends on the terms.
Band History:
There really isn't any "history" to the "band," since its just me. In 1984, my ma pushed me out of her...about ten years later I started playing piano. That's the history :)
Your influences?
Like a lot of people, I'm into all types of music (some that I should be a bit ashamed of), but I think that if you limit your ability to listen, then you limit your ability to create. In my opinion, music written in the 70's and prior to 1900 is by far superior than anything popular today. I was born in the wrong era. My influences include Yanni, Billy Joel, Elton John, Talia Ghaffari, Ray Charles, The Beatles, John Legend, Lionel Richie, Paul Simon, Frank Sinatra, Gavin DeGraw, Fiona Apple, Ben Folds, Chris Martin, Sergei Rachmaninoff ...just to name a few.
