I'm Jules Watts, and I make beats...

INSTRUMENTAL-MIXTAPE LISTING:

-------------------------SUMMER 2009-----------------------------------------------------

1. The First Classicks- this tape consists of all the beats I first conjured up when I first got FL Studio 8. I tried to keep it Hip-Hop themed throughout, but it's evened out with a few smooth/mellow beats here and there.
*Being my first tape, a lot of the beats are simplistic.
**HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: "Fresh Picked","Attack Mode", and "Jules' Jungle"

2. The Spaztastic Melodies of Jules Watts- as the title suggests, The Spaztastic Melodies goes for a more experimental and electro-hop approach in contrast to The First Classicks. I didn't hold back and let my creativity flow on this on one.
*Rappers with typical rap flows and listeners that are deep into mainstream rap/hip-hop will most likely dislike this one...as well as its sequel.
**HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: "Pwn'd You Holmes", "Uzora", and "The All Seeing Eye".

3. Back With More Spaz- the sequel to The Spaztastic Melodies, so the majority of the beats are in the same likeness. This tape mainly illustrates areas where I improved at FL Studio since making The Spaztastic Melodies.
*I kept this short with only 10 tracks overall. Quite a few of them were leftovers from The Spaztastic Melodies.
**HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: "Mood of the Mellowriffic", "Deeper Waters", and "Unwelcome"

-----------------------current works--------------------------------------------------------

4. Samples of the Fresh Picked- My 1st tape with the use of sampling. The samples are "Fresh Picked", as in my 1st beat. This without a doubt defeats all my previous tapes to date and I return with a more consistent Hip-Hop theme throughout.
*All rappers that come to my page should jump on these beats!
**HIGHLIGHTS INCLUDE: "Imperial Garden", "Divine Fuego", and "Sunset Surreal"

5. Downtempo Dorm Mix (pt. 1)- my slow, mellow, smooth, and chill beats are exemplified in this tape. I'm slowly releasing it out here on SoundClick track-by-track. Right now it's a work in progress and may or may not be finished by the end of this year. I'm taking my time with it.
*When it's finally finished, there'll be 20 beats.
**CURRENT HIGHLIGHTS: "Stop & Stare", "Mhembodia"..

6. Watts Unlimited- these beats are still in the process of creation..
*If you enjoyed Samples of the Fresh Picked, you're going to continue digging what I do in this one.

Do you play live?
I don't play live or plan on playing live anytime soon. Not alot of people have been exposed to my beats so far so I'm still in the process of promoting them.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet is such a powerful tool to promote just about anything you can think of, so if you're not taking advantage of that then you're really missing out. The internet is and has been changing the music industry for quite a while now.
Band History:
I started making beats soon after "acquiring" FL Studio from earlier this summer (2009). I gotta give credit to my brother (known as Asonhi on here) for bringing me up to speed with getting it and all.

That summer I released two instrumental-mixtapes worth of simple beats which I called "THE FIRST CLASSICKS" (more hip-hop/rap-based beats) and "THE SPAZTASTIC MELODIES OF JULES WATTS"(more experimental/electro-hop based beats).
