Aggtown has left its mark in the electronica world. In 2008, for the first time ever, we were recognized as having produced MORE music in LESS time than ANY other artist in the world (5+ hours/70+ songs/less than 3 years). According to LaLa.Com charts, Aggtown achieved a rank close to 17,000 out of 4,000,000 when our single "Doomsday" and album 'Single Greats 2008' debuted worldwide.
Why this name?
There are actually several musicians that use the name "Aggtown" somewhere in their name (i.e. "Aggtown Fights"), and this comes from the root nickname for Arlington, Texas (where we're from).
Band History:
During Aggtown's first official year in operation (2006), we had very few resources to suit our musical needs. The only synthesizers we had at our disposal were 2003-versions of the Robota Drum Synthesizer/Sequencer, Silver Synth Pro, and Drum'n Bass Machine. If you know anything about artificial instruments, you know that these are the cheapest ones on the market today.
Leap forward to 2007, our truly "pioneer" year. During this period, we introduced some sweet twists on classic MIDI jams with the help of Sony's DLS-Synthesizers. In addition, we implemented professional instruments like advanced leads, saws, sines, squares, bass, dance and trance synths, FX machines, and more (the list is virtually endless). It was in 2007 that we released Aggtown's first great hit, "Smash Hit #1: Why We're The Best."
Now to 2008, during which we claimed title as "one of the best techno-industrial groups in Texas." This year was definitely a transitional time, as evidenced by our recent efforts to recollect previously-outsourced positions. We are trying to eliminate the help of professional musicians and get back to the "homestyle-DJ" that our fans love best. Aggtown still managed to squeeze out two albums, however: 'Our Town: Definitive Hits, Vol. II' and 'Single Greats 2008', along with our hit single "Doomsday."
2009 was better-than-ever for Aggtown. Professional outsourcing was completely removed from our songs, to be replaced by next-gen instruments we recently acquired. These include but are not limited to the following: 3x-OSC, BeepMap, Slayer, DrumSynth Live, Fruity DX10, Plucked, SimSynth, FPC, Sytrus, TS404-Generator, Wasp, PSYN II, Pentagon I, Wasp XT, Roland GrooveSynth, RXP, DreamStation DXi2, TTS-1, and more.
Aggtown officially terminated operations December 1, 2009.

Equipment used:
We always used the latest editions of FruityLoops Studio XXL, SONAR, ACID, CakeWalk, and M-Audio equipment. Never settle for less than the best synths!
Anything else...?
Aggtown is no longer producing music; however, our lead musician, DJ Splexin, has launched a solo career in producing similar music. He is now represented by BMI.
