(Be Heard!)
--------------------------------------------------
My music is mostly electronica, but it varries in different styles and genre's. From hard-hitting Rave to Smooth Trance to Spooky Industrial, all my hits are a flavor of something different. I think everyone will find something to love in each song I do ^_)^ Even if people don't love all my songs, I'm confident most people will find 1 that they really love.
However, what you must understand about my music is what sets it from other electronica-style music: Style. Knowing that electronic music is becoming easier and easier to produce, the music being produced is quickly the stylized properties that it had when it was only being produced by top artists. However, what sets my music apart from others is that my music has a nature of it's own. My production method is to choose a style and a theme, and place together the music that fits that style, and make sure it sounds good all the same (unlike some Electronica Artists who throw together random samples that sound 'okay', and call it a song. I'm not pointing fingers, but it happens, folks). With that, and , what comes out is the glory of what you'll find on this page, and on my album :) I really do try hard to produce good-sounding music, and atleast I know that every song on my list I love.
The RCTFORME Band (or solo-band, or whatever) started in July, 2003, when I first discovered the music program that I'm still using today (different versions, of course). Once I found out how easy it was to make the music, I soon learned how to make complex, and amazing-sounding melodies with nothing more than a few clicks of the mouse. , that's not to say that making decent music is easy. It takes A LOT of concentration, preparation, and editing to push out a half-decent electronica song. If you want it to sound good, you have to spend a lot of time on it.
Even though my music is not technically performable, my music is played on some online radio stations over at Live365. I am also a Professional Amateur Comedian (Oxy moron?). I have performed at my local bar, and at my local comedy clubs (where I've gotten a lot of laughs). I also plan on touring and doing comedy once I'm out of college.
I was first into music by listening to the radio. (Warning: Long story coming!!!) There was (and still is) a Christian Radio Station in my town, WJIE ("Where Jesus Is Exalted"). They played lots of good acoustic and contemporary christian songs, as well as some more rock-and-roll and dance songs (all Christian, of course). Enjoying almost all of these songs, I got into Dance Songs around the age of 14, when I began falling for the music in video games. Dance led to Rave and that led to Trance as I got into the AOL Radio Trance Station. Of course I loved almost every song they played. Then, at some point, I stumbled onto a message at a forum of a person who had recorded their very own music track using a program called Ejay. I found a demo and recorded my first song. Oh happy days ^_)^. From then on, I baught more different versions of Ejay from Ebay (the site), and I've been playing with those ever since. would definitally have to be Streets of SimCity, which is an old video game with some of the best Techno Music I've ever heard. I still keep copies of those songs on my computer :) I'm also a HUGE FAN of the music from F-Zero GX (Phantom Road ROCKS!!!), Starfox Adventures (Jungle and Ambient Electronica), SimCopter, and other video games with excellent music.
My most important tool in music creation is my ears. As I create and edit my music, I use whatever sounds good to me and string it along with whatever specific style or theme I'm playing with at the time. Though it's a very simplistic and uncomplicated style, it does work very well. However, this does not mean that I don't put effort into my songs, as I do spend a lot of time with them. I have to make it sound as perfect (to me) as possible before I deem a song finished. Unfortunitally, I've lost all my original mix files, so all my current songs are here to stay.
Anything else? What else is there to say? Visit my website @ RCTFORME.Com (link at top of page), post at my message board, listen to my songs, AIM me if you wanna chat ^_^ I don't care :D It's all good to me, man ;)
