WELCOME TO THE HOME OF BUTTSBANKERS!
THE HIT NEW BRITISH TEENAGE COMEDY BAND......From Medway in Kent! (We are not pikeys...oh no!) although there are far too many in our area
With Chris Joyce, Harry Phipps and many others!
(Because you've visited, it means that YOU
RULE!)
It would be kool if you could leave a message on the message board and vote for your best song (see message board)
We can't really sing, we can't really dance or much else but in the end, all these bad faults are nothing compared to the fun that we bring to all!
The songs we oringally did were of a wide variety ranging from rock to dance - we then discovered that none of us could really sing, so we just decided to stick to attempted comedy
(in saying this though we all are amazing song writers (apart from harry))

Why this name?
The name Butts Bankers originated from a caravan park in the countryside of Kent named Butts Bank. This was during our planning for our DoE expedition whilst plannin our route. I personally found it a humerous, catchy name and decided to take it up for the band. So basically, its named after a pikey camp - none of us are pikeys, we don't approve! Were not in with the whole 'Chatham' stereotype
Do you play live?
Nope, because we'd probably get either booed off stage or laughed at (Especially with the members including one lanky shit, one fluff ball and a ghost) plus many more. Of course it would be kool but only if everyone had the same sense of humour as me which hasn't really got a chance of happening.
Despite this, we have been told that we should go live, lol. It would be fun. If you do want a live version get a mic and my email address and who knows, I could be generous enough to give you one!

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It changes it as people can freely download music rather then having to buy it. I, myself am guilty of this but that is down to the fact that singles are generally ridiclously high priced. If they were sold for a £ and under I would be quite happy to buy at least one each week rather then down loading it.
Of course it also lets people who may be finding it tough even though talented of getting a record label. This is good as it alows people to express themselves to others without having to try so hard to make a living from it. In our case its just good fun!

Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
YES!!, but its not going to happen. Well, we'll see...........no, it isn't is it.
Where there's hope, there's a chance!

Band History:
In the summer of 2003 I thought it would be a good laugh to make a couple of crappy songs. This then escalated and now we do loads of crappy songs!
I was first joined by Terry Gilham in the humerous but quite random 'If You Call Me a Monkey Again' and we've taken it from there. We now have a number of people who have featured on the songs although most of our songs our now done by me (Chris Joyce) and Harry Phipps.
We also supprisingly have a number of dedicated fans including a lot of my little sister's mates and a number of people from our school. Not for long though as everyone has just left for university.

Your influences?
Personally, my favourite band is feeder but don't be fooled by that, we share nothing in common.
Lets just put Chris Moyles and Wierd Al Yankovic and anyone else who does good parodies

Favorite spot?
Probably the famous church yard in Rochester (St Margeret's Church). If you live round there you'll know what I mean. God, I have wasted so many hours of my life in there!
Equipment used:
Music composing programmes such as (sadly) ejay, but also others which are more original such as fruity loops. There are also now the parodies on other established songs such as 'complicated').
Anything else...?
