The band was born between 2008 and 2009.
Andy's concept of "italian hard rock band" met the one of Elisa (Singer): playing that kind of rock'n'roll that's an "evergreen"; that kind of music that was made great by those english/american bands making history in 1970/1980 writing italian lyrics.
The line-up was completed with Giulio, the young yet virtuos bass guitar palyer, Daniele, drummer, and Giulio, young yet experienced blues guitar player.
The band just released the first demo and is ready to show their works everyehre it's possible!
Why this name?
As the greek philospher Pindar was known for his ability to from one subject to another seeming unliked one the other with a natural yet drammatical skill, so the band like to use extremely melodic parts mixed with more heavy and "raged" ones, creating the same kind of tension the poet used to create in his works.
That's why we choose the name "Pindarika"!
Do you play live?
Any time we can!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It's just great to reach everybody through the net!
It's like beeing everywhere at the same time!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course!
Band History:
The band was born between 2008 and 2009.
Andy, known for his previous bands like Dejanira and Dark Enchatment, put his concept of "italian hard rock band" together with the one of Elisa, youg singer with a great pootential: playing that kind of rock'n'roll that's an "evergreen"; that kind of music that was made great by those english/american bands making history in 1970/1980 writing italian lyrics.
The line-up was completed with Giulio, the young yet virtuos bass guitar palyer already known for his previous bands playing around Tuscany, Daniele, drummer playing in various blues/rock bands, and Giulio, young yet experienced blues guitar player involved in various rock bands in the nearbies.
Tha band took the name thinking Pindar: as the greek philospher was known for his ability to from one subject to another seeming unliked one the other with a natural yet drammatical skill, so the band like to use extremely melodic parts mixed with more heavy and "raged" ones, creating the same kind of tension the poet used to create in his works.
The band is trying to create the right mix of furious rock'n'roll and melodic lines, speed and tempo changes and so on, trying to meet the styles of the great rock'n'roll bands like Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, Y&T, Styx, Blue Oyster Cult, ecc.
So their songs come to be now a furious rock'n'roll, now a blues/progressive rock, always remaining in a melodic in the melodic environment typical of A.O.R. bands.
The actual 2009 Demo cd includes four tracks, Credere, Senza di te, L'ultima luce and Un posto in paradiso, wich fully explain the band rock concept.
