Why this name?
ChrisDiggidy actually started out as my nickname from high school (chrisdogg) which my friends and father started calling me, for what reason I'm not sure. Somehow that turned into ChrisDiggidy
Do you play live?
God willing, there will be live events in the future
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think the digital age has turned the music industry on it's ear. It has really allowed artists to take more control of their music, and also be in contact with their fanbase like never before. The digital age has also increased the number of artists that are available for fans to listen to, which can be both good and bad. It makes it difficult to make it as an artist, and as a consumer, makes it somewhat of a tedious process to find good music sometimes but competition is always good for the consumer and music is no different.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
It depends on the situation. It's in my heart to have the most amount of people possible listen to my music and to be able to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with as many people as I can. Also, to share my life experiences and my testimony as a believer in Christ, and alert people that there is more to life than the things I used to enjoy, or hate even. There is hope, there is forgiveness, there are better days waiting ahead. It's hard to find a "major" label that share's these same priciples and values.
Your influences?
My mother's taste in music has influenced me and my own taste. She listened to Santana, Steely Dan, Earth Wind & Fire, Anita Baker, Michael McDonald and so on. I developed my own favorites such as Will Downing, Too $hort, Master P, DJ Quik, Lil Keke and others. Some how that makes my strange taste and ecclectic taste in music
Favorite spot?
Oklahoma City is my home, proud of it.
