Why this name?
Jose came up with it at our 2nd rehearsal back in 2007. Since there were "Three of" us, it kind of worked.
Do you play live?
Red Devil Lounge in SF, Quarter Note in Sunnyvale, The Bistro in Hayward, Betty's Rock Bar in Walnut Creek, on the radio, on the street......anywhere we have a captive audience!!
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It certainly makes the general public more accessible. Band's can now put up their music, videos, pictures for all to see. At the same time, you can "test the waters" with new stuff and find out what people think right away!!
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Of course!! Give me a pen and paper!!!
Band History:
Three Of... is an Adult Alternative/Indie music group based out of the San Francisco east bay area. Formed in March 2007 by Jose Valdes (Bass, Vocals), Drew Nash (Guitars, Vocals) and John Prink (Drums), the band started performing publicly in July 2007. Starting out in coffee houses and bars, the band picked up speed in 2008, performing 38 shows.
John quit the band in April 2009, joining a country rock cover band. After going through a transition period, Wes Morse joined the band in "Twenty-Ten" and the group took on a more cohesive, indie sound. With Wes keeping the beat, Jose and Drew have been busy creating new material and reworking their older tunes.
It's "Intellectual, Alternative Rock!"

Your influences?
Goo Goo Dolls, John Mayer, Dave Matthews, Eric Clapton, Robert Johnson, Rolling Stones, Beatles, English Beat, UB40, Bob Marley
Favorite spot?
Where ever we are playing!! Thank you Detroit, WE LOVE YOU!!!
Equipment used:
Jose plays an Ibanez 6 string bass that has a fretboard like an aircraft carrier! Drew plays mostly Reverend (USA made guitars) and Steinbergers (they don't go out of tune--EVER), B52 amp with Peavey Cab. Drew likes the classic Sure SM58 mic while Jose prefers Sennheisers. Wes plays this cool kit with aluminum shells--what a crisp sound!
Anything else...?
We LOVE performing!! The world is our oyster when we're on stage. We have fun and you can tell!!
