Music
An early stab (1993) at an ambient space with a lush tamboura...courtesy of my new at that time E-mu Proteus 3 World synth module.
The latest Soundworld Jazz extravaganza based from an OASYS combination called eXtasy, with blasting horns, synth hooks and sound EFX galore and a honking guitar lead from the V-Synth GT.
This one is dedicated to my sponsored child Patrick Kateregga in Uganda. His winning smile and boundless enthusiasm always serve to inspire me greatly. I thank God for having these children in my life. This one's for you Patrick!
Title track of what will become my 6th CD. Time to chill in the Jazzland!
Been enjoying the Larry Sanders Show box set. Rip Torn is fantastic as Artie, the crusty old bulldog producer, but the glue that binds the office together is the sweet and sassy Beverly, aptly played by the lovely and talented Penny Johnson.
Let the top down on the car and put some flowers in your hair sweetheart...we're off to Rio!
Mallet beats galore and a heavy bass line courtesy of a cool KARMA groove along with the Triton mixed with a Phrase Loop from the Integra-7 fuel this fun rhythm fest.
Dedicated to New Age music pioneer Suzanne Ciani, whose landmark albums, The Velocity of Love, Neverland, History of my Heart and numerous others like Pianissimo I, II & III still warm the soul.
The first tune from the recently released Reincarnated combi set for the OASYS. A fellow musician on one of the forums made the TaW comment and when I read the Don Quixote bit, I laughed! Life's just too short to fight imaginary foes! ;-D
Another rework of a Jazz Classic from the OASYS. I just love that smooth Fretless Bass line and cool 3/4 beat. Special thanks to Mo for the beautiful Tetrahedron.
1978 is about the time I started getting into Jazz, and some of the grooves in the song are in 7/8 so the name was a no-brainer. The looong awaited rework of one of my old favourites.
This one is affectionately dedicated to the late Maestro's, keyboard wiz Josef Zawinul and bassist extraordinaire Jaco Pastorius of Weather Report.
The new and improved Razz-Ma-Tazzer from the Soundworld. I had to scrap the entire 3rd version due to timing errors and when this one started acting up...I hit the record button fast before it went totally left on me!
The V-Synth XT patch used for the main melody phrase always reminded me of the 70's group Soft Machine. Also along for the ride are a V-Synth GT, two JD-990's, a Jupiter-80, an XV-5080, a JV-2080, a JV-1080 and a Fantom XR.
The Soundworld welcomes back the CoMoDo Bros. Jazz Lounge Club Band for a surprise engagement. They still only know a few chords, but it sounds like they're sure having fun with those!
The new and improved Mo'Jo Mo'Jito. I rushed the 1st version and was never happy with it, so here's a more succinct edition. Dedicated to our friend Moreno Caponi, who we affectionately know as "Mo." Visit Mo'tic on SoundClick. Bottom's up! ;-)
The Soundworld welcomes the Planetary Alignment Jazz Mutant Club Band for some bass whompin' fun.
SoundworldA.D. hosts those fun-loving jazzers the CoMoDo Bros. Rainy Day Jazz Club Band for an impromptu session in the living room. I think they must have been influenced by the Rascals "Peaceful World" on this one!
My beautiful niece Kira and her husband Todd just had their first child, a lovely daughter they named Luna Katherine. I dedicate this song to her and her extended family!
Gongs away! This one no doubt inspired by two of my fave artists Kevin Braheny & Tim Clark. This is one of my personal favourites. Newly updated in 320kbps for more sonic clarity. Enjoy the journey!
Mo's picture set the tone for this Worldbeat extravaganza, this being the reworked and rearranged version of the previously named "Moon over Babaluma."
Named after the temple built in Egypt near Kom Ombo during the Ptolemaic era and dedicated to the Egyptian deities Sobek and Horus.
He is the Alpha and the Omega. The first and the last. The beginning and the end. And the reason for the season!
A pulse-driven smorgasbord of meandering time signatures and beats, with a hearty mix of major, minor and suspended chords thrown in for good measure.
Smoke rings that turn into Tall Ships...yeah, that's the ticket! Dream on Gandie!
