Why Hello there ... and Welcome! I am a instrumental acoustic guitarist. Somewhere a while back, I had a viral/bacterial infection that caused me to lose 1/2 of my voicebox. Since that time I have not been able to sing... my voice just won't do what I'd like for it to. So I became a finger picker...sort of avante guard style. All my music is original, recorded, produced, mastered and marketed by myself.
Why this name?
It is my initials.
Do you play live?
Local venues occasionally ... more of a listening venue than bar venues.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
It has allowed musicians such as myself access to produce, record and allow people across the world to listen in to your music.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
If the opportunity ever arose and the deal was right.
Band History:
35 yrs of playing in bands in college, after college and then into acoustic groups and finally solo. I lost my singing voice approx. 20 yrs ago and figured it was time to learn how to finger pick. Now I play only original, played on acoustic guitar, tunes using whatever is at my disposal to 'add' ...
Your influences?
Leo Kottke, Michael Hedges, Richard Crampton, and many other avante guard acoustic musicians. Led Zeppelin, Ali Farke Toure, Tangerine Dream... and a wide array of different kinds of music. I play acoustic or really, electroacoustic but listen to many genres.
Favorite spot?
Utah desert & mountains
Equipment used:
T.Haruo guitars exclusively, Bill Lawrence pickups, M-audio, Ableton live and Steinberg Wavelab.
