I started writing music because I felt like I needed to express some of the pain that pollutes my mind. I work with kids to grow to be successful individuals and somethimes the only thing that holds them back is the environment that they have to go home to. That is what the majority of my music is about. I also have the tracks where i just felt like gettin on the mic and rappin. Stay up and keep real music alive.
Why this name?
Back in the day my boys use to say i was shiesty because i would be on the grind with them but preachin about a better life all the time. They would call me McNasty because i was always mackin on the girls. So i was stuck with Shiesty Mac as my name. I just went with it. lol
Do you play live?
I rap for the kids, havent got paid yet.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
I think it makes music that much more alive. People can find what they really relate to, not just what the damn radio plays.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Yes I would if I felt that I could continue influencing the youth in a positive manner.
Band History:
I started with my cousin. He runs Scandalous Ent.. Now myself and my partner own Runnin Reel Records. It is a nonprofit organization that helps kids without money express their musical interest.
