Do you play live?
I've performed at various clubs, festivals and venues in DC, Chicago, and Asia. I love the raw energy of spitting in front of a hype crowd. It's the reason emcees exist. I once rocked onstage with Common at the Nagoya Blue Note (Japan) in 2004. Dope experience.
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The internet allows the public to enjoy music without the artist being financially raped by greedy record companies. Its the best global platform for unknown talent too raw for the music industry to process through their machine. overlook. It also facilitates entrepreneurship, which is reason enough.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Possibly. If the industry can respect true art and Hip-Hop culture without trying to force an artist to compromise his soul, dignity and vision, then the music industry and Hip-Hop artists can enjoy a mutually beneficial marriage.
Your influences?
I grew up on Hip-Hop, but I've been influenced by and enjoy just about all genres of music.
Favorite spot?
The crib: CHI-City.
Equipment used:
