I am finishing some new material right now. Composing is mostly done and I am putting things "properly" on paper to register the songs with "Sabam". Once this is done the tunes will be released, so stay tuned!

I Got To Tell You
Solo Project of Hugo Jacquet. The song "I Got To Tell You" could be described as "Pat metheny meets Ronny Jordan" (and myself of course :-).
Why this name?
Since this is a solo project it just bears my name: Hugo Jacquet
Do you play live?
I am planning to play live with this material in the near future. To make it worthwile it needs some good planning though, and frankly I am Waiting to tour till all material for the album is ready...
How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
Well, it can go two ways now. The musicians can gain more control over their work, but it is also possible the distribution (and the selling!) will again fall in the hands of the big industry (it is a war over standards isnt it).
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Shure, wouldn't you :-)

Equipment used:
Allthough " I Got To Tell You" Is recorded using Cubase and Reason, a cheap mixer and a Soundblaster Live card I don't use this equipment any more.
I am using a line6 Toneport as audio interface nowadays and am switching from Cubase SX3 to Cakewalk Sonar (7) at the moment.
