TOM is the product reflecting the musical ideas of the head of the band, called Thomas.
The music genre is wide spread. Rock, Pop, Acoustic, Easy Listening. my roots are in Rock music, as I'm interested in many styles of music, I'm influenced by these styles.

Why this name?
It's not that spectaculary, I just chose my first name and regarding the fact that I produce my music in my flat I just added "Rockhouse" ("Rockflat" wouldn't sound that good, eh?). So this is Tom's Rockhouse!
Do you play live?
I played some of my acoustic numbers live but most of the stuff has not been played alive until now. I'm looking for members, that are ready to work with me - doin' what I want them to do... ;)
No just kidding. The songs are ideas and any idea that suits the whole thing will be accepted. I would love to play some gigs with my stuff and a good band.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
The Internet does not change the music industry. It forces them to find other ways to earn money. I love the idea to download whole albums for € 4,98 at AMAZON.de. So it's no longer illegal to get your wanted stuff and it's quite affordable. 0,98 EUR for a single. Jeez! Everyone will have this amount of money...
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
Sure! This is why I spread my music in the internet.
Band History:
I started playing guitar in 1976, with 14 I was a member of my first band. Years and bands later I had the chance to join a band called "ZENITH". we had a manager, hopes, ideas and an album was produced. Unfortunately there has been no happy end. Short time later I started to pause with music. No guitar playing for about 10 years!!!
I'm glad that I found my way back to music and since end of 2007 I'm producing my stuff in the cellar of my flat.

Your influences?
I love Dream Theater. I like Nik Kershaw. I adore Tommy Emmanuel, Andy McKee and Antoine Dufour. I like to listen to Gloria Estefan, Steve Lukather, Al Jarreau, Stefan Gwildis, Roger Cicero, John Mayer, Jason Mraz. All those artists and all the other ones I do hear in the radio do influence me.
Favorite spot?
I was born in Hannover, I live and work here and I guess I'll die right here.
I love the Canarian Islands, especially Lanzarote. I have been to some places, but none has been interesting enough making me leave my hometown.
